The OB limited ultrasound is not designed to be a full medical evaluation of the fetus. Instead, the OB Limited is used to follow-up anything from the previous OB Complete ultrasound with us. This may be done to further evaluate fetal structures not well seen during the anatomy scan. It may also be used to follow-up a low-lying placenta seen during the OB Complete ultrasound.

The BPP ultrasound measures the health of your baby during pregnancy. This ultrasound is only done after the 28th week of pregnancy. We will evaluate the baby’s body movement, muscle tone, breathing, and amniotic fluid level. This ultrasound is normally done because the mom presents with decreased fetal movement and/or a nonreactive stress test.
