The Thyroid ultrasound is used to investigate potential issues within your thyroid gland. The thyroid ultrasound is used to diagnose and treat problems not only within the thyroid, but also the parathyroid glands and surrounding area. Most commonly, a thyroid ultrasound is used to evaluate for nodules.
The Soft Tissue Head & Neck ultrasound is used to evaluate palpable masses felt anywhere within the neck that is outside the thyroid.
